IBC 2011 sees the debut of the second generation of the world's only seamless voice break in system - DETS II.

Radioscapes' groundbreaking DAB Emergency Tunnel System (DETS) has been in operation around the world since 2004 providing a vital safety system to tunnel operators by solving one of the challenges of digital voice break in - reconfiguration.

Radioscape at IBC 2011

Radioscape will be exhibiting at stand D.90 in Hall 8 of the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC). The exhibition will be held in Amsterdam, between Friday 9th and Tuesday 13th September.

DAB+ Rollout in Germany

August saw the switching on of 27 transmitter sites throughout Germany in the launch of its new DAB+ digital radio service.

Representing the single biggest market in Europe, the German roll-out of DAB+ will prove crucial in providing momentum for a digital switch over in the rest of Europe - in fact within days of the announcement, came word of new legislation in Spain paving the way for DAB+ radio switchover as well as the launch of new digital services in the Czech Republic.

A consortium of public, commercial and governmental bodies, working with leading manufacturers like Sony, Pure, Philips and the automotive industry have provided Germany with 14 new radio stations covering more than 40 million people.
