ETIC Card

The latest innovation to the tritium hardware system is the Radioscape ETIC card. This interesting new development does away with the need for an expensive, unreliable and fragile PCIe card and replaces it with a purpose built board in a standard form. Featuring dual inputs and outputs, a dedicated GPS receiver and a standardised size to facilitate easy system integration in the Tritium range, the ETIC card is the next step in providing a fully modular and easily extendable rack system

Market Developments

Q4 has seen several significant developments in the digital radio market – the intervening months since IBC has seen several countries underlining their commitment to digital radio with annou8ncments of new services, trials and regulation. Spain, the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Italy are just a few major economies opening their doors to new digital radio – signalling huge growth in the industry in 2012.

Recent industry meeting such as the World DMB Marketing Committee have seen broadcasters and infrastructure providers from many countries confirming their commitment to DAB radio, Senior Policy Adviser at Dutch Public broadcaster NPO stated “NPO is committed to DAB+ and a tender for a maximum of 20 DAB+ radio stations ... has been sent to TED for publication today” this sentiment is echoed by Dr Bertram Hock, Director of Broadcast Receivers at BMW "So now digital radio is developing, I am sure that it will soon be available as standard in vehicles throughout Germany"...
