Seamless ETI Switch (1TH-ETIS)
The RadioScape Seamless ETI Switch selects one of two ETI input streams to produce a single output data stream. Input selection may be automatic, where the stream with the lowest error rate is selected, or manual.

This allows automatic back-up switching between Ensemble Multiplexers, or the use of redundant circuits to transport ETI data between multiplexer and transmitter sites. The unit automatically time-aligns the incoming streams, thus allowing seamless switching even if the incoming streams have a relative delay between them, for instance a land line and a satellite or microwave link. The output data is duplicated to two output connectors for maximum flexibility.

Features

  • Compatible with ETSI EN 300 799 ETI specification
  • Runs on dedicated RadioScape hardware platform
  • Dual ETI (G.703/G.704) inputs via BNC connectors
  • Dual, identical ETI (G.703/G.704) outputs via BNC connectors
  • Equalizes network delay between 2 input streams
  • Switches seamlessly and automatically to backup input stream if main stream fails or exhibits high error rate
  • Streams can be switched under control of external TTL signals
  • Manual override mode allows selection of active stream from local user interface
  • Dual, redundant, hot-swappable power units for ultimate reliability
  • Dual outputs eliminate need for external distribution amplifiers in many applications
