Pilot Multiplex (4FH-PMUX)
Delivering the full functionality of a conventional RadioScape Multiplex but in a more cost effective and compact package the PMUX provides broadcasters with an effective "starter package" to launch Pilot or Local Multiplexes quickly and efficiently.
When the commercial or technical environment changes, the PMUX can easily be replaced by "conventional" multiplexes or retained as a technical stand by unit.
It comes complete with the following major system elements:
- Broadcast Manager.
- Ensemble Multiplex.
- Data Multiplex.
- 8 x Channel Audio Encoder (DAB or DAB+ or a mixture)
Outputting ETI (G703 / G704), RadioScape IP or EDI, the unit can swiftly integrate with existing or new distribution channels to Transmitter Networks, and from mid 2010 will be delivered with an integral NTP server to facilitate internal timing stability.
Connect Power in, Audio In, and the Multiplex out and the unit is ready to operate - simple.
Once in operation, additional RadioScape products can be added externally (seamlessly) as required, such as:
- T-DMB Encoders.
- DMB-A Encoders.
- Date Creating.
- Additional Audio Encoders.
The PMUX can also easily devolve management of portions of the ensemble to subsidiary "Distributed Management ("DM") levels, delivering total control to contributing Radio Stations or Groups of stations.
The PMUX is a fast, simple, scaleable and cost effective route to delivering Digital Radio Pilots or Local Multiplexes. Its ability to deliver the full range of Eureka 147 services - and to be integrated into large networks makes it a powerful tool in the Broadcasters armoury as Radio Stations have experienced from Canada to Australia and beyond.
