RadioScape - making digital radio accessible
We are changing the format of digital radio and making it accessible to the
world. With over 300 million analogue radios sold every year, and three billion
radios in use worldwide, the market for Digital Radio products is the largest
by volume of any consumer entertainment product.
What makes RadioScape different?
Quite simply, our Software Defined Radio approach! It allows us to exploit
the flexibility and fast time to market that is needed to develop software-based
solutions for the increasingly complex world of new Digital Radio products.
This means we can provide products and solutions that enable broadcasters and
receiver manufacturers to quickly satisfy the growing demand for new Digital
Radio products and services.
Our success is largely due to our product innovation and having the right
product for the right market at the right time, and having the right partnerships

- We targeted the Eureka 147 Digital Audio Broadcast (DAB) standard that has
been adopted by most countries in the world.
- Our first product was a software-based professional DAB radio test receiver
for broadcasters and network operations.
- Our partnership with Arqiva resulted in the development of a revolutionary digital
transmission solution that was used for the start of Digital One.
- A joint collaboration with Psion resulted in the development of a digital
radio for the PC platform, the Psion Wavefinder.
- A contract from Texas Instruments (TI), to adapt their software to run on
one of its DSP, is now one of the top-selling DAB chips in the world.
- Our range of DAB modules has revolutionised the manufacture of DAB receivers as they dramatically reduce the time to market and costs resulting in them being the solution of choice for many leading manufacturers.
- Our Professional Broadcast Suite for DAB is used for virtually all commercial DAB broadcasts in the UK and many overseas.
- Our unique software-defined approach for both receivers and broadcasting ensures state of the art functionality and product differentiation.
Uniquely, we address the receiver and broadcast ends of the market.
Our latest developments include video over DAB, 5.1 Audio DAB, DRM and DMB (Digital
Multimedia Broadcasting).
